Breaking New Ground

Sometime back google claimed that in a few years from now, people will not have to "buy" software, they can just use it!
I firmly think that This is a definite step in that direction.
On a more tangential thought, i am still convinced that gmail will integrate voice and video apart from the now prevailing text that they have done.

    Yep... it's a good move, but it's a long way to go before we can stop "buying" SW.

    Hope u know abt writely that was acquired by google two weeks back.

    there are lot of features in MS Word which has not yet been incorporated..
    This was released more than two months ago.. Future updates are being awaited..
    heard that they are also working on a similar concept for Excel..

    The ajaxWrite interface is primitive. Not even close to Writely. Then there was something else called Writeboard, which wasn't that impressive either. I do most of my word processing from Zoho Writer. For the number of features that it offers, it is surprisingly free!
