Well deserved victory

As India plunges into a gloom over the loss of England (what the heck, a hyped up team and it deserved to loose:-)) and Brazil (Well ok they did not look good either) in football, the cricket team expectedly won the test series against a depleted West Indies. One should not forget that however bad a team is, they are tigers in their home turf. Didn't India halt the Australian's winning streak in Tests ?
So here to saluting Team India for their victory, some poor umpiring and inclement weather not withstanding.

    hmm akku/rman/kau :-)
greece banning is coz of some kind of fifa rules which i have no comments on
as for them winning euro, playing a pleasing game is one thing, playing to your strengths is another thiing.
brazil did not look good coz they did not play to their strengths.
but playing within their limits is what greece did during euro 2004. defend strongly as much as possible and if you get a chance, score a goal. that is what typically we do in chess too. the game may look ugly, it might even loose spectators, but what the heck ! when teams are out to win at any cost, this is also a way of winning !!

To extend this a bit further, sampras played bull shit tennis, totally like a machine and robot and highly unattractive. But he still won matches right ? Same is the case with Greece. People play to win whether it is good for the game or not :-)

The link was provided as an FYI (considering your love for Greece). I don't think even Greece Association will care to comment on FIFA's decision :). Anyway nice of you to bring in the Sampras Analogy. I totally agree with that. If only ATP had also banned Sampras...
