Review: Rambo - IV

Rambo-IV

"Do you want to live for nothing, or die for something" ? So intones Rambo in his latest installment, Rambo IV. Essentially a throw back to the days when English movies were just 90 minutes, and full of slam-bam-thank-you-mam action stuff, this movie just sticks to that specific genre.

The story, if there is anything of that name, is quite simple. Rambo escorts a group of Christian missionaries into Burma. They get kidnapped and he goes back to escort them. Thankfully, Sylvester Stallone has not attempted any sort of bravado or gravity defying stunts. All his stunts are plain, simple and needless to say, very very effective in delivering the message.

There is no room for heroine or sentiments in this movie. Watch out for the final scene which effectively tell us that there is no more milking of Rambo Franchise.

Verdict: A treat for fans of slam bam action stuff.
